Trish Brown | Artistic Director

Trish Brown is a professional director, actress, and theatre educator.  She has directed regionally, as well as in Canada, and is a proud associate member of SDC, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She holds an MFA in Directing from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and worked professionally in Chicago for a number of years before returning to the St. Louis area.  Theatre education is a passion of Trish’s, and she has taught in regional arts programs such as COCA in St. Louis and Hinsdale Center for the Arts in Chicago, as well as in several university and college programs around the region.  Trish is currently a Professor of Theatre at Principia College.  Trish is a founding member of both The Moving Dock Theatre Company in Chicago, and Bankside Repertory Theatre in Alton, IL.  The Michael Chekhov technique is one of her specialties, and she also loves film directing.  In addition to her directing career and educational work, Trish coaches actors for film, television, and stage.

Joy Addler | Managing Director

Joy is a St. Louis area stage manager, company manager, and nonprofit professional. A proud graduate of The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, Joy has a BFA in Stage Management and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management. She is also a member of the Actor’s Equity Association. Currently, Joy works as the Performing Arts Manager for Variety the Children’s Charity, overseeing their inclusive chorus and dance programs throughout the year, as well as serving as the Company Manager and Production Stage Manager for their annual Variety Theatre production. In addition to her full-time job, Joy works as a freelance AEA stage manager throughout the St. Louis area.

Wendy Greenwood

Recent roles include Letter Writer #2 in Tiny Beautiful Things with Max & Louis Productions, Sarah in Time Stands Still with New Jewish Theatre, and Queen Elizabeth in Shakespeare in Love with Insight Theatre. Wendy is an SIUE alumna with a BA in Theater Performance, an MSEd. in Educational Administration (Principal candidate), and is certified to teach Secondary Theatre Education, which she does for the Parkway School District. She is an Actor’s Equity Association membership candidate (EMC) and a professional actor, director, and stage manager in St. Louis. Wendy has worked professionally with Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Upstream Theater, New Jewish Theatre, Max & Louie Productions, SATE Theatre Ensemble, Mustard Seed Theatre, St. Louis Actors’ Studio, St. Louis Shakespeare, Theatre Nuevo, HotCity, Muddy Waters, R-S Theatrics, Theatre Lab, Player’s Project Theatre Co, A Sudden View Productions, Insight, Solid Lines, That Uppity Theatre, WiseWrite, New Line, and SIUE Summer Showbiz.

Alan Knoll

Laurie McConnell

Recent roles include Emma in Annapurna (St. Louis Actors' Studio), Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs (New Jewish Theatre - Best Comedy: St. Louis Theatre Critics Circle), Marie Antoinette in The Revolutionists (Insight Theatre), Birdie in The Little Foxes (St. Louis Actors' Studio - Best Supporting Actress: St. Louis Theatre Critics Circle), Jennifer in The Realistic Joneses (Rebel and Misfits Productions), Miss Julie in Miss Julie, Clarissa and John (The Black Rep - Best Villain: St. Louis Post-Dispatch) and Joanne in Company (Insight Theatre Company - Best Supporting Actress: St. Louis Theatre Critics Circle). Laurie was also honored to be named “Favorite Stage Actress of 2019” in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Go! List. But her greatest achievement so far has been working with and still staying married to her amazing and forgiving husband, Alan Knoll.

Meet the Board

Angela Sage Larsen | President

Angela Sage Larsen is the author of a dozen children’s books (Petalwink the Fairy and Fifties Chix), a playwright (Petalwink: the Musical), and a screenplay writer (Bottom Little Theatre). After a decade and a half as a professional artist, she shifted to writing; but during her entire career, she has had an active prison ministry as a volunteer chaplain. Whether through the arts or her now full-time spiritual practice of healing, she believes in the power of storytelling to convey truth, unite mankind, inspire, and heal. “You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world.” (Matt. 5:14, The Message) See Godcolors.net

Doug Beck | Treasurer

Doug Beck is excited to join the board of the Prism Theatre Company and brings a wealth of large-scale digital production experience. He’s spent the last 20 years pushing creative and technological boundaries in the world of advertising, PR, marketing and ad tech. His love of the theater arts began with his first classical ballet class at Principia College in Elsah, IL.

Doug is also a member of the SpaceCowboys, a San Francisco, Bay Area-based dance collective that builds an inclusive community through events and dance parties.

Debbie Champion | Board Member

Debbie Champion is a founding partner in the firm Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch and Champion, one of the 20 largest law firms in Missouri.  Ms. Champion has been named to the top 50 attorneys in St Louis and the top 100 attorneys in Missouri.  She honored by the St. Louis Small Business Magazine as a Wonder Woman and by the St Louis Business Journal as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Business Women in St. Louis. She is recognized on the Missouri Lawyers Media Power List in Business Defense since 2021. She is a 2023 Top attorney named by Small Business Journal.

Karen Conant | Head of Development

Karen Conant is a creative designer, wedding and event planner, and property manager. As a business owner and multi-preneur with a background in business management and sales, Karen holds an MBA from Lindenwood University.  Through all her endeavors, she loves to bring beauty, light, systemization, and purpose to individuals and organizations using her skill set and determination. She believes that everything in life is an opportunity to witness and create with divine beauty. She looks forward to putting her organizational skills to good use to further Prism Theatre Company’s artistic vision.
